…claims Agboola Ajayi has not discussed with him
Indication has emerged that the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Benjamin may not step down for the Deputy Governor of the State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi.
This is due to the inability of the duo (Ajayi and Benjamin) to reach a concrete agreement.
According to the INEC guidelines for the Ondo State governoeship election, tomorrow (18 of August) is the deadline for the substitution of candidates.
It was gathered that the Deputy governor has been avoiding Benjamin since he joined the party last Friday.
Sources within the party said Ajayi, despite boasting of having N10billion for the election, he is yet to give a kobo to the ZLP candidate, Benjamin.
“I can boldly tell you that Benjamin is yet to receive a kobo from Ajayi. The deputy governor said he has no money for now but promise to give Benjamin some money later” a ZLP chieftain disclosed.
