It was a jubilation galore across the length and breath of Ondo State over the report that the Zenith Labour Party will pick engineer Gboye Adegbenro as the running mate to its candidate and detputy governor AGboola Ajayi in the October 10th election.
A cross section of party members as well as Political observers who spoke with ROVING REPORTERS on Saturday posited that it’s the best decision for ZLP ticket.
They observed that the choice of Adegbenro who is a fellow engineer in Nigeria will help the party to ain the election.
They described Adegbenro as a politician who deserved to get the ticket of the platform based on his loyalty.
According to them, the choice of Adegbenro will break Eyitayo Jegede’s dominance in Akure just as it’s believed Ifedore and Idanre are winning zones to ZLP
It will be recalled that former governor Olusegun Mimiko took away the ZLP central senatorial ticket which was initially given to Adegbenro in the last general election.
Just as many expected Adegbenro to protest his principal’s decision instead, he took it with good faith and work for his boss.
Efforts to get reactions of the former works commissioner were unsuccessful as at press time as his mobile phone was switched off.
