- Disrupts programme for minutes
It was like a drama on Wednesday when the senior special assistant to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on new media, Gani Mohammed angrily left a live program on Breeze FM, Akure after a hot arguments with a representative of the opposition PDP.
The programme was anchored by Adebisi Ajiboye ,popularly known as Sogigun.
Mohammed and Leye Igbabo, Assistant Director, Media and Publicity of the PDP in Ondo state were guests on the programme which was meant to examine the recently concluded 3rd anniversary of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s government and other government activities.
The program however turned sour when Igbabo described Muhammed as ” Oje nile oro, je nile eegun ” which means that Muhammed has been defecting from one political party to other.
Muhammed found the statement disrespectful and insulting. He told Igbabo that he lacked respect for elders and efforts by Igbabo to explain to him that the statement was not insulting were not successful.
All efforts by the anchor ,Sogigun to also try and calm Muhammed proved abortive.
It was gathered that Muhammed went so irate that he became uncontrolled and caused nuisance to all staff of the Radio station who were trying to placate him.
Our correspondent who monitored the radio station reports that the program was disrupted for almost 10 minutes while interlude was being played.
It was also gathered that Muhammed almost beat up the presenter of the programme while he destroyed his earpiece.
