The Ondo State Police Command has debunked reports making the rounds that unknown gunmen have kidnapped a couple in Akure, the state capital .

There were earlier report that this morning, the husband was found dead at Odiolowo area of the capital city, with affirmation that security agents are already at the scene.

Reacting, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, SUPO Funmilayo Odunlami described the reports are misleading, while explaining that it was a case of hit-and-run accident.

She added that the wife of the deceased has affirmed that they were not kidnapped.
