Oyetola reverses Aregbesola’s single school uniform policy in osun

Osun state government has reviewed the state education policies in line with the national policy.

One of the policies was the reversal of same school uniformed that was introduced by his predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola.

Briefing journalists after the state executive council meeting,Osun state commissioner for information and civic orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode said the decision was in line with the recommendations of  education policies review committee set up by governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Mrs Egbemode disclosed that the council had approved reversal of same school union policy in the state.

She said public schools in the state would now have opportunity to use different uniforms from next academic session.

The commissioner noted that the council also resolved that public schools in the state would now return to 6. 3.3 .4 policy instead of 4.5.3 4 policy adopted  in the state.

On school merger,Mrs Egbemode said public schools would retain its former status and sustain its former names before the merger.

In a remark, Osun state commissioner for education, Mr Folorunsho  Bamisayemi maintained that the decision to return the schools to former arrangement was in line with demands of the people of the state.

He emphasized the need for all critical stakeholders in the education sector to support government in its quest to reposition the sector an enviable
height.

It would be recalled that in 2011 Osun state government reviewed its education policies with a view of improving standard of education in the state.
