OWO MASSACRE: TERROR AGAINST GOD AND HUMANITY

The news of massacre of innocent worshipers at Owo Catholic church by suspected terrorists leaving many worshipers dead while others sustained gun injuries was one attack too many on the people of Owo and Ondo state.

Today, Sunday 5th of June, some terrorists have unleashed gruesome attack on innocent worshipers in Owo leaving many people in the church dead and others injured.

The peaceful town of Owo has been polluted by the murderous action of these agents of darkness. The place of worship by any religion is a dwelling place of God. These jackals have in their usual character brought violence into the alter of God.

I, Chief Olusola Oke, SAN condemned in strong term, the gruesome attack. It is an attack on humanity and violation of the presence of order that is usually present in the sanctuary of God.

I sympathize with the victims of the gruesome attack, their bereaved families, governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Kabiyesi, Olowo of Owo and the people of Owo on the unfortunate incident.

My mind is with the people of Owo, a peaceful and serene town, our ever responsive governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, Olowo of Owo. I am consoled by the resolve of the state government that these agents of darkness will not go unpunished. I strongly belief the hands of the law will bring them to justice. It is indeed a dark day here”

I enjoin us all to be more vigilant and to be conscious of our security in other to forestall a repeat of this unfortunate incident.

The almighty God will console the families of the bereaved. May their gentle souls find peace with God.
