Ahead of forthcoming coming local government election in Ondo state, a member of All Progressive Congress APC and Aspirant for the Chairmanship position in Ifedore local government, Barrister Collins Awoseye has said the local government would witness massive grassroot development if elected as the chief executive of the council.
Awoseye also promised to bring government back to the people, so that they would be able to enjoy dividends of democracy.
He stated this while speaking with news men over his plans for Ifedore local government.
Awoseye said ” Over the years, grassroots has not really enjoyed the dividends of democracy and it is my duty if voted in to make sure that government must be closer to the people at the grassroots,so that they could also enjoy most things that those in the Urban cities are enjoying.
A graduate of Law at the Ekiti State University also said that , he is eminately qualified for the position , having lived all his life in the local government.
“Going by the records, I am the most qualified person for the job, I am a grassroot man, having lived all my life in this local government.
There is no town or village in this local government that I don’t know, I have friends all over the places “
On the issue of zoning, Awoseye said that the leadership of the party in the state is well aware of it and steps are being taken to address it.
He said ” We are aware of it , this is a contest, and anyone is free to come out but I strongly believe that by His grace and mercy , I will contest and come out victorious “
