Ondo Commences Repair of Potholes In Akure today

The Ondo state government says repair of potholes on major roads in akure, the Ondo state capital will commence on Tuesday (today).

Contractors who constructed the affected roads have also been directed to go back to site with immediate effect.

The commissioner for works,Mr Saka Ogunleye disclosed this on Monday in an interview with ROVING REPORTERS.

ROVING REPORTERS had reported the increasing number of potholes in almost every road in the Ondo state capital, a situation that had become source of concerns to motorists and other road users.

Reacting,Mr Ogunleye pointed out that he had directed engineers of the ministry of works to commence work on those potholes so as to make affected roads in the state capital more motorable.

He said “ I have directed that they should commence action. I can tell you that all these potholes,action will commence tomorrow (today).

I have also given instructions that all potholes in the town be fixed and if you notice anywhere that is not touched, let me know. I will call the attention of the engineers to the place.

I drove round and saw potholes along Igbatoro road and noticed another one at roundabout oluwatuyi, there’s one at bypass ,and there’s a bridge that cuts Sijuwade Hospital and Ijoka among others.

I can assure you that all potholes will be taken care of. ” Ogunleye said.
