Two persons,over the weekend, sustained degrees of injury in an accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at around alagbaka Round About in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
The accident which occurred at around 2pm led to traffic gridlock for almost an hour in front of First Bank at Alagbaka,akure.
When ROVING REPORTERS got to the scene of the accident, there was blood spill of the victims who had been rushed to nearby hospital on the road while the affected vehicle was being towed by police officers and officials of the Vehicle Inspection Office.

An Eye witness told ROVING REPORTERS that the accident was caused by brake failure of the lorry coming from Oja Oba.
He said “ This lorry, carrying Catering services equipment,lost control while descending as tried to stop for vehicles turning the roundabout but hit the two men on the Okada.
They have been rushed to the hospital for treatment because they were seriously hit. ”
One of the Police officers told ROVING REPORTERS that one of the victims had serious head injury while the other man had fractured hand.
“They will survive the accident because they were both conscious and spoke with me before they were rushed to the hospital. They are going to be Okay. ”

Meanwhile, Police have arrested a suspected pick pocketer at the accident scene,while trying to steal phones from the two victims.
The suspect, was said to have pretended as if he wanted to rescue them but was caught by okada riders who handed him over to the police.
He was later taken to A divisional police station beside Adegbemile Cultural center for questioning.
