Ondo 2020: I have no quarrel with Mimiko

The peoples Democratic party governorship candidate in Ondo state ,Eyitayo Jegede has said he had no quarrel with his former boss and for me governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko, saying every eminent politician who believe in the project will join the train to win the October governorship election.

Jegede however vowed to remain being a soft politician in the interest of the masses.

Jegede who featured on a private radio station , Crest FM Akure on Friday said being soft as an individual has become a great advantage for him to put smile on the faces of the people.

He said “I will choose to be soft on the side of the people. I am prepared to be soft.I have the character and Nobody will influence me to move against the people. ”

Jegede emerged the candidate of the party in the last Wednesday PDP primary, after defeating seven other contestants .

The PDP candidate said he had no quarrel with his former boss and former governor of Ondo state, Dr Olusegun Mimiko. He expressed assurance that the former governor and other notable politicians would support him to win the election.

He said, ” I don’t have any issue with Dr Mimiko, he is my boss, we didn’t know each other before he became the governor, somebody introduced me to him and we worked together for eight years and we had good time together.

” I believe eminent politicians in the state who believe in the project will join me in the train to win the October 10 governorship election.”

He added that if he became the governor of the state, he would not be hard on the people and he would review the fees paid by the students of the higher institutions in the state.

“I will choose to be soft on the side of the people. I am prepared to be soft.I have the character and nobody will influence me to move against the people.

” Also i will reduce tuition fee of tertiary education in the state if elected.
