The Ondo state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi on Saturday criticised his boss, governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for excluding nine lawmakers from the presentation of 2020 Model of SUV KIA Sportage as official cars.
Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly were on Friday presented with the vehicles by Akeredolu in Akure.
Presenting the vehicles to the state legislators at the Government House in Akure, Ondo State Akeredolu said his administration though constrained by the dwindling resources accruing to the state at this time will continue to keep to its promises.
He said:”What matters to me is that when we make promises we keep them. It is not for political reasons. We have been on this car issue for a while and luckily, it came today just before the flag off. Nobody is doing it for political reason. This is an improvement on what we had last.”
His deputy, Ajayi however condemned Akeredolu, alleging that the nine lawmakers who refused to sign his recent impeachment bid were not given the vehicles.
Ajayi spoke through his media aide ,Allen Sowore on his official twitter.
He said “ Presenting official vehicles to only members of the ODHA who are loyal to the governor and leaving out 9 who refused to sign impeachment process of the DGov is the lowest political strategy.
Loyalty is to the state and the people.@RotimiAkeredolu.”
