Non-Indigene Assembly Southwest Day and Inauguration, 2023
Non-Indigene Assembly Southwest is made up Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Benue, cross rivers, Delta, Edo, Hausa, Igbo,, Igala,Ebira,Kwara,,Rivers and several other tribes outside Akure.
The inauguration ceremony is part of ways of registering its presence in Ondo state for a better recognition and acceptance especially as we move towards the 2023 general elections..
Politicians, market women, youths and several Dignitaries from all walks of life, far and near were on the ground to celebrate the occasion.
The occasion feature music band , dances by Igede tribe from Benue Adu group and other side attractions to commemorate the day.
In his welcome address, he Southwest president, NIA comrade okita Isaac Said there is need for all non Indigenes to come together to achieve a common goal.
According to him, NIA produces 60 percent of votes in the state every election year.
He stressed the need for unity among all members for the country to move forward.
He added that it is time to be recognized because NIA has been contributing economically to the development of communities in the state.
He also used the occasion to disclose that NIA has coordinators in all other southwest states including wards and units in the states.
Others who spoke commended the group and also stress d the need for unity and progress of the group
