NCDC confirms 4th COVID19 case in Ondo came from Lagos

Following controversies surrounding the fourth case of Covid19 in Ondo state, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control has confirmed that the patient left Lagos for Ondo state.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had on Saturday criticised the state police command for allowing patient to enter Ondo state borders ,risking the lives of other residents.

However there had been reports that the new case of Covid19 I Ondo state was allegedly orchestrated by the Ondo state government ,a claim the government had debunked .

The NCDC on Saturday updated its official twitter handle,to confirm that the new patient who was said to be a police officer left Lagos for Ondo State.

It says “ One case who was confirmed in Lagos State, traveled to Ondo State for treatment.

Therefore, the number of cases in Lagos is 689 and the number of cases in Ondo is 4.”
