Mr Joshe Boluwaji ,father of Doyin Boluwaji ,the final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba akoko,drowned by flood has expressed strong hope that his daughter is still alive.
The Twenty-five years old Doyin Boluwaji was reportedly swept away by flood resulting from over 24 hours downpour last Tuesday at her rented apartment in Akungba Akoko.
Mr Boluwaji stated this on Thursday while receiving members of the Ondo state Executive council at his residence in Akure, the state capital.
He explained that the accommodation secured for the girl since her preliminary year at the off campus was nowhere near canal or waterlogged area.
According to Mr Jóshè, his daughter is still trapped somewhere.
The parent who begged government to get her alive appreciated the state government for the visit.
Earlier, the chief of staff to the governor, chief Olugbenga Ale who led the delegation cautioned residents against building on waterways
Chief Ale added that the state government still lookforward to acquiring more swamp buggy and amphibian excavators to tackle ecological problems in the state.
