A man, Mr Eric Olowokande on Monday allegedly killed his wife,Mojere with punches at Yaba street in Idanre, in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that Eric, a farmer had quarrel with his wife which led to beating of his wife and killed his wife with blows.
The wife, Mojere was said to have died immediately while the husband ran into the farm to evade arrest by the Police.
The remains of the deceased has been deposited at General Hospital, Idanre.
Confirming the crime, the public Relations Officers ,PRO Tee Leo Ikoro explained that the couple was having a misunderstanding when the wife slumped.
According to Ikoro, efforts to revive the woman was not successful as she was confirmed dead in the hospital.
The police PRO however added that the suspect had been arrested while investigation would continue over the case.
