The Ondo state house of assembly has rejected names of two out of the local government supervisory councillors sent by governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for screening.
The two supervisory councillors are from Akure South and Ondo East local governments of the state.
Though the names of those affected have not been verified as of press time,the lawmakers rejected their names due to some anomalies observed .
Meanwhile , the house of assembly extended the tenure of local government caretakers committees in Ondo state by six months.

The State Assembly at a plenary presided over by the speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun announced the extension after the screening exercise for the would be Chairmen and Supervisory councillors at the chamber.
Mr Oleyelogun noted that their tenure could be cut short because of the forthcoming local government election as announced by the state independent electoral commission, ODIEC.
The lawmakers thereafter announced continuation of their six weeks recess.
