It was another memorable moment at the Sheraton hotel and towers,Lagos over the weekend when people from all walks of life converged to honour an illustrious son of Ondo state, Engr. Gboye Adegbenro.
Adegbenro, a former Commissioner for Works in Ondo state and now the Chairman of AGE Infrastructure was honoured for his outstanding performance in the public sector .
The event was chaired by Chief Michael Ade – Ojo , Chairman of Elizade Group of companies and many notable Ilara- mokin natives.
In a remark, Omololu Adegbenro,Registrar Elizade University described Gboye Adegbenro as a pride of Ilara-mokin .
He said ” Gboye is our pride in Ilara-mokin and we are proud that he is our son. Gboye has done so much for us and we will continue to pray for him “
Similarly, a friend, Mr. Henry Ade – Ojuoko said Gboye Adegbenro is an honest person, a man that can be trusted at all time.
He said ” Gboye Adegbenro went into government and came out without blemishes.This is a good record and achivement and i want to wish him well in all his dealings. “
In his response, Engr Gboye Adegbenro attributed his success to Almighty God .
Adegbenro said , my success in life is from the Almighty and also thanked the organisers of this programme, I could not have done it alone, if God has not been there. “
