Ondo state governor ,Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Saturday said the revenue generated by his administration within three years has surpassed that of his predecessor ,former governor Olusegun Mimiko.
Akeredolu disclosed this during the inauguration of Ondo state internal revenue services complex in Akure, the state capital.
The complex was inaugurated by the national leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Akeredolu said the state internally generated revenue had risen from seven hundred million to two billion naira monthly.
He said “ before we came on board , the IGR of Ondo state from the past administration was between #500,000,000 and #700,000,000. The highest ever was #700M.
By the time we came to the office,we have to get a few things in place ,including engaging a tax consultant, Canadian software development company ,CSDC, to help cultivate some of our processes and they have done very well .
We have also employed 400 workers as part of efforts to improve on our internally generated revenue.

He also disclosed that the edifice cost less than eight hundred million naira and was constructed in less than 12 months.
Governor Akeredolu hinged the timely construction of the building on dwindling revenue generation and poor working conditions of the workers.
