I am not a gospel singer –Sola Allyson

Popular Nigerian musician ,Sola Obaniyi Allyson on Saturday said she is not comfortable with being referred to as a gospel singer.

Sola stated this in a video interview on her Instagram page where she being asked about her kind of music .

The sonorous voice singer had been performing in religious gatherings in many parts of the country and abroad but said she is not a gospel singer.

Sola said “  I have always said it that I will like to be known as a singer. I don’t want to put myself in a box because I studied music in school and I didn’t go to study gospel music.

I studied music and wanted to do music as a career so I am a learned musician.

I am a Christan and according to my knowledge of the Bible , there is nothing like gospel music in the Bible . The only things that are in the Bible is spiritual songs and Hymns.

It is not that I am trying to water down the gift of God in my life, so I am simply a singer ,shinning my light. ”
