The immediate past Chairman of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC, Hon. Oluwagbenga Edema has lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the Electoral Acts Amended Bill 2022 into law.
In a statement signed by his media Consultant, Ayokunle Adumashi , Hon, Edema said President Buhari has again shown the world that he is a listening father and leader of the nation by taking the bold step to sign the Electoral Acts Amended Bill 2022 into law.
He described the gesture demonstrated by President Buhari as a right step in the right direction especially at this period when the political situation in Nigeria needs to be restructured.
The former OSOPADEC boss stressed that the new law will have positive implications on the democratic processes in Nigeria and a great deal of improvement on the previous Electoral Bill 2021.
He pointed out that the Electoral Acts Amended Bill 2022 has praiseworthy provisions that could positively revolutionize elections in Nigeria through the introduction of new technological innovations, improve transparency of the election process, as well as reduce to the barest minimum incidences of acrimony arising from dissatisfied candidates and political parties.
