Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday imposed a 24hour curfew on Ondo state indefinitely.
He gave the directive in a broadcast on the growing spate of the #endsars protest in the country.
The governor observed that some hoodlums had hijacked the protest which was organised with the good intention of drawing the attention of government to some key areas of need in the country.
He therefore directed security agencies to ensure full compliance with the curfew which commences midnight, Monday 20th, October.
Governor Akeredolu decried the burning of tyres on main roads and the bad conduct of some hoodlums who had infiltrated the genuine protesters.
While stressing that the youths had the rights to a peaceful protest, The governor emphasised that government would not fold its arms while the exercise degenerated to destruction of lives and properties.
