Education Secretary Oluderu Alleges Defamation Over Appointment Termination

…to seek legal redress.

The just relieved Education Secretary for Ileoluji/Okeigbo local Government Education Authority, Princess Abike Oluderu says she demands explanation of the unwholesome words used against her in a termination of appointment letter served her.

Princess Oluderu in a reaction to the letter signed by the Chief of Dtaff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale to Newsmen in Akure condemned in strong term words used such as “incompetence, lethargy and overbearing disposition” as contained in the letter which belittled her person and all her efforts which can be attested to by the NUT, AOSHPON and others whom she worked with.

The former Education Secretary who bagged B.ed guidance & counselling, Msc Industrial Relations & Personal Management, Fellow Institute of Personal Management and Fellow Institute of Public Administrators said the state government ought to have been diplomatic about the matter because the issue that had been trending is not administrative but political and such does not deserves administrative decisions.

She noted that in as much as the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has the right to appoint and sack appointees, defamative words should not be the order of the day.

Princess Oluderu promised to pursue the matter to logical conclusion through legal redress.

The state government had in a letter dated 11th September, 2019, marked HE/COS/VOL.IV/260 and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale alleged Princess Oluderu of gross incompetence, lethargy and overbearing disposition hence her termination of appointment.
