Drama as Police dig church Altar in search of ritual objects in Ondo

Men of the police in Ondo state command on Friday dug up the alter of a church , The light of the World and revival Ministry, at Ilara Mokin in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state following allegation that the founder of the church, pastor ‘Aye Orisa Baje’ ( real name withheld) buried ritual objects in the church.

It was gathered that another pastor in the town ,whose name yet unknown as at the time of filling the report ,petitioned the divisional police office at ilara mokin alleging pastor Aye Orisa Baje of performing ritualism inside the church.

It was gathered that following the tip off, the police mobilised its men who were in seven Hilux vehicles with diggers and hoes to dig up the alter for confirmation of the petition.

Residents of Ilara Mokin ,having heard the rumour stormed the church in hundreds to witness the development.

It was however gathered that the police could not find any ritual object  inside the church,a development that caused uproar from residents of Ilara Mokin.

When ROVING REPORTERS visited the church, the alter of the church had been dug while police officers addressed the people to be calm and they should not  take the laws into their own hands over the hands.

Reacting , the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Femi Joseph told our correspondent that he had not been briefed over the incident and promised to get in touch.
