The alleged murder case of a member of the NURTW, Mr Adebola Adegboyegun popularly known as Tshaina early this year has been mentioned at the federal high court, in Akure.
Tshaina was allegedly shot dead on the ninth day of March this year during a clash at a motor Park in the state capital
Having presented the case file, the prosecution counsel, S .A Ogala, prayed the court to grant him time to include the name of the fourth defendant
The counsel to the defendants, Bewaji however did not oppose the request
Justice Rilwanu Aikawa therefore ruled that the name of the fourth defendant be included in the case file
Justice Aikawa adjourned the case to Friday 10th of December, 2021 for proper mentioning
Present at the court were late Tshaina’s two surviving wives, Mrs Bolanle and Olayinka Adegboyegun, some NURTW members, and the former branch chairman, Taxi road, Comrade Oluwatoyin Fayagbe
It would be recalled that Ondo State Government had indefinitely suspended the activities of NURTW as a result of the clash and warned against further violence in any part of the state
The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Special Duties and strategy, Dr Doyin Odebowale who addressed journalists when the crisis started ordered the NURTW members to vacate all motor parks across the state describing violent attacks on members and the innocent citizens as unruly and uncultured behaviour.
