BREAKING: President Buhari Approves Establishment Of State, LG Police

Report says President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday in Abuja approved the establishment of state and local government police.

This is coming in the heels of pressure being mounted by Nigerians as insecurity in the country worsens. It is expected that this measure will reduce the state of insecurity bedeviling the nation.

The President has also approved the dismissal of 37 police officers as recommended by the National Human Rights Commission Presidential Special Panel on SARS Reforms.

This was revealed in a statement by the Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission and Chairman Presidential Panel on SARS Reform, Anthony Ojukwu, on Monday during the submission of the report of the Presidential Panel on the reform of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, of the Nigeria Police, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
