BETTY ANYANWU-AKEREDOLU WANTS BEMORE TO OUTLIVES HER HUSBAND’S GOVT.

Wife of Ondo State Governor, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu on Monday expressed her resolved and desires that her pet project, BEMORE Summer Boot Camp outlived her husband’s regime as Ondo State Governor.

Chief (Mrs.) Akeredolu disclosed this in her welcome address at the opening ceremony of the 2021 BEMORE Summer Boot Camp at Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.

The first Lady is counting on the support and prayers of the good people in and around Ondo State and her Team’s resilience that, “doubt can only be removed by action”, she declared.

Emphasizing that “BEMORE has come to stay, we are committed to building an army of female technology leaders” .

Pleading that, government after her husband tenure should not allowed the life changing scheme to die.

“I don’t want BEMORE to end after the tenure of Arakunrin as Governor of Ondo State” .

“Please, join me to ensure that BEMORE is forever” , she further pleaded.

In his own goodwill messages, Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa who was the special guest of honour at the opening ceremony of the Bootcamp challenged the initiator of the popular scheme to target global market.

“Participants are enjoined to compete on global scale” , declared Aiyedatiwa.

“TECNOVATION which is an annual global competition where girls in technology/ICT based solutions to everyday challenges of life are made to compete globally” , he said.

The Deputy Governor equally praised Her Excellency, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and her resourceful team on their avowed determination to see that the girl-child are technology compliant.

He said BEMORE initiative is in tandem with the REDEEMED Agenda of Ondo State Government.

“This is because the core activities of BEMORE revolves around Human Capital Development and Digital Revolution both of which are fundamental components of our REDEEMED Agenda” , he said.

Aiyedatiwa equally described the cheering news that some Nigerian girls on Technology and ICT competed excellently at global stage, as a big boost to a trained girl-child.

His words, ” it gladdens my heart to inform you that a team of Nigerian girls under the age of fifteen, won the 2018 edition of TECNOVATION, an annual global competition where girls in technology/ICT based find solutions to everyday challenges” .

“And another team of Nigerian girls won at the regional level in the just concluded 2021 edition” , he further said.

The opening ceremony attracted dignitaries from business, politics, academia and some parents of the girls.
