Ojagbohunmi, a front line Public Relations Practitioner stated this in a statement signed by him and made available to newsmen.

He said the report credited to him to confirm the cases of Coronavirus in the Ayetoro coastal community was calculated attempt by some people to cause division and raise the fear of the people of the riverine area of the state.

He said “i am inclined to draw the attention of the Ondo State Government and the Security Agencies to a fake Facebook post, wherein it was alleged that there are confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ondo State nay Ilaje land.

From all indications and findings, it has been discovered that the said report was not only fake, but a wicked attempt to misinform the public, create unnecessary panic, undermine and thwart the measures being put in place by the State Government to forestall the pandemic.

“It is also an attempt to smear my good image and the credible broadcast outfit they claimed I used as a medium of disseminating the information”
