Allowance: NYSC Makes Case for Ondo Corps Members

The NYSC coordinator in Ondo state ,Mrs Grace Apkabio has appealed to the state government to consider paying corps members serving with government ministries and agencies monthly allowance as part of motivation.

Mrs Akpabio made the appeal when she paid a courtesy visit on the new commissioner for sports and youths development, Mr Akindotun Owanikin in his Office.

The NYSC coordinator described situations where corps members serving with government establishments were not paid monthly stipends or other forms of motivation as not good.

Mrs Akpabio urged the new commissioner to use his influence in achieving the request so that corps members’ welfare would be enhanced.

In a remark, Mr Owanikin who rated NYSC high in the areas of rural development and unity in the country promised that the case made by the Ondo state NYSC Coordinator will be looked into.
