Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has been under serious attack on social media over the appointment of his son,Babajide Akeredolu as the Secretary of the Response Fund Committee on Friday.

The committee has among its terms of reference to recommend and advise the government on funding strategies,Manage funds mobilized,Direct funding campaign,Identify and contact effective funding channels/sources and Carry out any other activities for the success of the above mentioned.

The social media has however been awash with comments condemning Akeredolu’s action.

A legal practitioner Tolu Babaleye posts on his Facebook that IS THIS WHAT WE HAVE BECOME IN ONDO STATE? NO SENSE OF SHAME!

Where is the Deputy Governor? Where is the SSG? Where is the Commissioner for Health and Finance? May God give us men in Ondo State.

A former political appointee under Akeredolu and within APC Austin Pelemo says “As usual, the governor son must be the secretary now that money is involved…. TRUSTING others has always been a very big ISSUE.

Are you saying the governor’s son is the only Ondo indigene that can be running up and down whenever a project or committee involving funds handling is put in place in Ondo state under this government?

Anyway, we are only trying to change this attitude of father, mother and son government, and I hope you listen to us before it is too late, because the judgement day is around the corner.
