As earlier reported by ROVING REPORTERS ahead of the Ondo state governorship election, APC candidate in Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has won the election in Okitipupa Local government held on Saturday beating Ikengboju Gboluga, a running mate to Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP.
ROVING REPORTERS had on Friday published a report ‘ Why Choice of Jegede’s Running Mate may Backfire ’ , X-traying the acceptability of the PDP and Ikengboju Gboluga, the running mate of Eyitayo Jegede in the election.
The reports revealed that Gboluga might not deliver the local government for his party because the people of Okitipupa local government still saw him as ‘alien’ .
INEC on Sunday released the result of the local government and PDP failed to deliver the local government.
In the result,APC has 19,266 votes while PDP has 10,367 while the ZLP scores 10,120 votes.
The over all winner has not been declared by INEC as results are being collated as at the time of filling the report.
