I have done more than former governors in health sector –Akeredolu

Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Thursday boasted that his government has invested so much in improving the health sector than any of his predecessors in the state.

Akeredolu stated this in Akure at the Launch of Ondo 2021 Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (Awareness For 21,000).

Mrs Akeredolu had in a remark said she had been sourcing for money from private individuals to fund all her projects ,saying Akeredolu-led administration had always been claiming there is no money.

Akeredolu however said “ We have been accused here by the first lady that it is no money government. If there is no money, what will I do ?

But as we don’t have money ,we have done a lot in health sector. This I can say anywhere. We have done more than any other governors in health sector and I can boast of it.

I know the number of doctors we have recruited and we have also procured medical equipment to this state. You need to visit all our health facilities and see what we have done.

We boast that we were able to establish a teaching hospital. Go to the former state hospital, you will see and a lot of other things are being done. So if we say we don’t have money, it is not as if we don’t have totally but we are spending it judiciously. ”
