Ondo: FIBAN appoints Adebayo Owala as Caretaker Chairman

The National Working Committee of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria ,FIBAN, has appointed one of the foremost members to lead the Ondo state chapter of the association as the chairman of the newly set up caretaker committee following the tenure expiration of the state executive members.

Desmond Nwachukwu, the National President, FIBAN stated in a statement that “ on 15th January, 2021, the three-year tenure of the Comrade Adebayo Adeniyi led executive of Ondo State Chapter of our association came to an end.

Having regards for the fact that there cannot be vacuum, yet extending their tenure will be standing our constitution on the head, the National Working Committee with due consultation with critical stakeholders in Ondo State, resolved to appoint a three man Committee to oversee the affairs of the Chapter pending the conduct of election.

They are:

  1. Adebayo Afolabi: Chairman
  2. Femi Julius: Secretary
  3. Olayinka Akano: Member

The National Working Committee will meet on Saturday 23rd January, 2021 to deliberate on this issue and other matters about our association.

As I direct Comrade Adebayo Adeniyi and his team to handover to them and urge the entire members to support them, I want to assure “Baba Chukwudi” as we fondly call him that I will not take for granted, his contributions to the association and support for my administration especially during the election that returned me as President. ”
