A petrol-laden-truck on Thursday crushed two persons whose identify is yet to be known to death at Ureje, along the Ado-Ijan-Ikare road in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The accident which involved a truck and a motorcycle, caused traffic snarl on the on the road linking the state capital to Kogi and Ondo States.
Eye witnesses said the incident occurred when a bag of corn being conveyed by the victims mistakenly hooked on the edge of the truck while on motion.
They added that the motorcycle instantly fell under the truck and it ran through the two occupants, leading to their death on spot.
The gory scene saw their skull and brains scattered on the road in the pool of blood.
Sympathizers in the neighbourhood who heard the loud bang of the collision between the petrol-laden tanker and the motorcycle, rushed to the scene to see if a life could be saved, but to no avail.
It was gathered that operatives of the Nigeria police from Odo Ado Division quickly rushed to the scene to saved the driver and the truck from being set ablaze.
Officials of the state Fire Service who got wind of the incident later came to remove the corpses, under supervision of the police, for onward deposition in the morgue.
