The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Ondo state Chapter has congratulated the state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on his victory at the Saturday’s October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
In a Congratulatory letter of the pensioners, signed by Elder Adedapo Salami, the acting State Chairman of the Union and the State Secretary of NUP, Comrade Akin Sunday, the senior citizens noted that the massive votes of the people to secure second term for Akeredolu was a true reflection of his administration’s unprecedented achievements in the last three and half years.
“The State Chairman, Executive and the entire members of Nigeria Union of Pensioners Ondo State heartily rejoice and celebrate with Mr. Governor. Ankunrin Oluwarotlmi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) on your well deserved landside victory at the Ondo State Governorship election held on Saturday 10th October 2020.
“No doubt, the victory Is a clear attestation of your good and milestone achievements In all sectors of Ondo State In the last three and half years of your Government.
The NUP leadership said pensioners in the state would remain grateful to Governor Akeredolu for the implementation of the 33 percent pension increase which successive administrations had failed to implement since year 2010.
While praying for continuous God’s wisdom for the Governor, the Pensioners appealed to the state and local governments to give more attention to the payment of accumulated gratuities of retirees on the state.
“We pray for God’s continued guidance as you progress in the onerous task of good governance. Once again we celebrate with you Mr. Governor,” the NUP leaders said.
