*** Former governor fails to deliver Ondo east ,Ondo West
Former governor of Ondo state, Dr Mimiko has lost his local government, Ondo west to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in the last Saturday election.
Mimiko is the national leader of the ZLP
In Ondo West, Akeredolu of APC scored 15,977 votes while the ZLP candidate, Agboola Ajayi scored 10,159 votes.
PDP candidate Eyitayo Jegede scored 10,627 votes.
This is the first time Mimiko will be losing the local government to an opposition party since he had become governor of the state.
Akeredolu had boasted in one of his interviews that Mimiko bit him at the back and that he ( Akeredolu) would be strong even after the election.
