Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Monday described Zenith Labour Party,ZLP as a party of people who have been relegated to the backdoor.
Akeredolu spoke at the flag off of CACOVID-19 palliatives in Akure, Ondo State Capital.
Akeredolu’s deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi on Monday resigned from the peoples Democratic Party,PDP after seven weeks to join the ZLP.
The ZLP has also cleared Agboola to contest as its flagbearer in the October governorship election.
Akeredolu however said ZLP is like a car without engine meant for people who are ready to end their political careers.
He said the owners of the party are undertakers who are only interested in carrying dead bodies.
The Governor who spoke in Yoruba said, “Aruku Aruku, Aruku gbe oja ofo loba Aruku loja meaning”An undertaker carrying an empty load to an undertaker in the market”.
