Ekiti state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has expressed his joy and excitement over the achievement made by his Ondo state counterpart ,Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on the exploration of bitumen in Ondo state.
Fayemi who is currently undergoing treatment of covid 19 took to his twitter handle to congratulate Ondo state for the landmark achievement that will be of benefit to the people of the state and Nigerians at large.
Fayemi said “Excited Ondo has broken ground in bitumen exploration and production following the lease signed in 2017.
Just as was done with Gold, Limestone and Coal, this will enhance Fed-State relations towards a shared mining prosperity. Congrats to the Ministry and the State. JKF ”
Reacting on his Facebook page, Akeredolu acknowledged efforts made by Fayemi in the realization of the project.
Akeredolu said “We must thank Governor Fayemi for the role he played as Minister in making our Bitumen plans a reality. I also wish him a speedy recovery. ”
