The Ondo state government has alleged the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control ( NCDC) of leaking test results of high profile individuals and politicians to the public before they get to the patients and their state governments officially.
The state commissioner for information and orientation, Mr Donald Ojogo stated this on Friday in Akure while briefing newsmen on updates of the pandemic in the state.
Ojogo was also reacting to the rate at which some group of individuals were spreading rumours about the Covid 19 status of members of the state executive council as well as as the lawmakers who recently went for the test.
Ojogo alleged that officials of the NCDC had targeted some high profile politicians and leaked their result to the public before it gets to the state government ,especially if the test come out positive.
He urged the NCDC to discharge its duty professionally so as to avoid endangering the lives of Nigerians who relied on it at this particular time.
