Ondo 2020: Nat Adojutelegan joins guber race to unseat Akeredolu

A legal icon and grassroots politician in Ondo state, Dr. Nat Adojutelegan has declared his intention to contest in the October 2020 governorship election and rule the state in the next four years,if elected.

In a declaration statement made available to ROVING REPORTERS , Adojutelegan who is a founding member of APC in the Ondo state said “I declare my sacred willingness to serve and offer myself for service.
I hereby declare my aspiration and intention to seek to be elected as the next governor of Ondo state under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

“ I promise to serve you, with a sense of purpose, passion and put you first.
I solicit your support as I aspire to be elected as the candidate of APC in the Ondo state gubernatorial election.”

Dr. Nat, as he is fondly called, is from Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state.

He is a man of amiable personality.
He was the legal adviser of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), United kingdom chapter, and interim legal adviser, All Progressive Congress (APC), United Kingdom chapter until December 2013.

Dr. Nat made substantial contributions to the ACN in Ondo state and was a pillar of the party in the 2012 elections. He was a founding member of APC in Ondo state and contributed immensely to the membership drive, registration, congresses and subsequent election successes in the state.

He contested the APC 2014 primary election for the senate of Ondo north senatorial district.

Again he obtained nomination form and contested the Ondo North Senatorial race in 2018 but lost to the APC’s decision to return all the three incumbent senators from the state.

Dr. Nat Adojutelegan is an iconic legal practitioner and principal partner of Nat Ado Solicitors in London, United Kingdom. He is a former Special Assistant to the Minister of state on Niger Delta Affairs (December 2015 to March 2017).

He is a grassroot politician despite his exposure.
He is a solicitor-advocate of the senior courts of England and Wales. He worked as a solicitor with a number of legal firms in London before establishing NatAdo Solicitors in January 2003.

Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan specializes in disputes management, commercial litigation, housing and property, public law and immigration.

He is an empathetic leader who is interested in the well-being of the people and always willing to help other people.

The legal luminary is a visionary, charismatic and philanthropic leader, who has singlehandedly completed several community projects which include construction of boreholes, financial empowerment of market women, students sponsorships and scholarships, among others.

Dr. Nat who had a humble background attended St. John’s Mary Primary school, St. Patrick’s Primary school and Government school, all in Owo between 1970 to 1976.

He attended Christ school Ado Ekiti for his secondary school education between 1977 and 1982. He had his BSc in Political Science at the University of Benin between 1983 to 1987.

He attended Holborn College, London and passed the University of London Intermediate Law Examination in 1992. He obtained his LLB (Hons) and LLM degrees at the University of Wolverhampton, United ingdom in 1995 and 1996 respectively.

He had Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the London Guildhall University, London in 1997. He later had a PhD in Law and Policy at Walden University, United States of America.
