Adetimehin orders disbandment of groups in Ilaje APC ahead of Ondo 2020 guber poll

***APC members hold online peace meeting

The leaders of APC in Ilaje local government has resolved to work together for the development of the party in the Local Government Area and to unite against external forces or influences likely to cause the party disunity ahead the gubernatorial election in Ondo State.

To this end, the party chairman in the state,Ade Adetimehin has directed the disbandment of all various groups within APC in the local government for the party to be more focused ahead of the poll.

The online meeting was conducted in observance of the social distancing order and was presided over by the state Chairman of APC in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, with members of the state Working Committe and the leaders of APC in Ilaje local government in attendance.

The Leaders of the Ilaje local government commended governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his developmental strides and particularly for the appointment of three indigenes of Ilaje to the state Executive position as ranking cabinet members.

In a remark,  Engr. Adetimehin  stressed the need to unite the party ahead of the forthcoming governorship election and ensuring the reelection of Akeredolu.

He urged  party members to see the party’s interest as much more greater than any of their personal interests.

He urged them to close ranks into one indivisible caucus under the leadership of the local government party chairman and it’s ExCo.

The meeting  appealed to political appointees and elected members in the local government to be responsible for the larger chunk at funding the party in the local government.

Also they called for the involvement of the non elected/appointee party members in the APC state meetings.

They resolved that the  leaders forum in Ilaje will be reconstituted so as to be more solid with the inclusion of  party chairman and the secretary as members of the forum.

They urged the party chairman in Ilaje to reconstitute the reconciliatory Committe and take it’s decision to the Elders Forum for the approval of the list while the Committee commenced work in earnest.

The Commissioner for Environment in Ondo State, Funsho Esan thanked the state chairman , Ade Adetimehin for his leadership role , promising to see to the implemention of all the resolutions reached in the meeting and revert to him accordingly.
