Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has joined other Nigerians to criticise President Muhammadu Buhari for not visiting the scene of Abule Ado tragedy which claimed many lives on Sunday.
Lagos state governor,Sanwo-Olu,on Monday, posted pictures of his trip to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, via his Twitter handle.
The images showed him and Buhari looking through pictures of the explosion.
He says “Today, I met with HE, President @MBuhari to brief him on the unfortunate incident at Abule Ado.
The core plan is to provide relief, rebuild the affected areas and avoid future occurrence. ”
The statement has however drawn criticisms from Nigerians who are wondering why Buhari could not have traveled down to Lagos for an on-the-spot assessment.
Reacting to the Photo assessment by President Buhari, Fani-Kayode says “You claim to be President of all yet this happens in your nation’s commercial capital & you do not see fit to go there to see for yourself and stand with your people?
“The best you can do is gawk at the pictures that were brought to you? You are callous, heartless & insensitive!”

Some Nigerians also recalled how former President, Olusegun Obasanjo in January 2002, visited Lagos after the Ikeja Cantonment explosions.
