Ondo Speaker is a lair – Aspirant

Crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress APC in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state might be far from being resolved following attack on one of the local government chairmanship aspirants, Collins Awoseye by people suspected to be working with the speaker, Ondo state house of assembly, Bamidele Oleyeloogun.

ROVING REPORTERS reported last week that Awoseye alleged that he was seriously beaten up and injured by some political thugs as led by the Personal Assistant to the Speaker, Kunle Ajayi.

Awoseye who was later rushed to an undisclosed hospital alleged that the incident occurred in the presence of the Speaker.

Oloyeleloogun however denied claims by Awoseye ,saying the incident was a mere ‘ Two fighting ’ and that ‘uninvited’ Awoseye attended the meeting meant to resolve lingering misunderstanding that emanated from the local government primary elections.

Oleyeloogun added that instead of allowing peace to reign during the meeting, Awoseye was abusing governor Akeredolu and his family which some of the APC members seated could not withstand.

Awoseye who was answering questions on his sick bed  after being beaten by the aides of the Speaker  denied ever abusing the governor and his wife.

He said ” The truth of the matter is that, I was invited to the meeting by a text message from the organisers being one of the aggrieved aspirants to the Chairmanship slot of Ifedore local government after a failed primaries to pacify us to accept some positions .

” The Speaker even acknowledged me when I raised up my hand to speak .  No issue concerning the Governor was ever discussed at the meeting and no one spoke about the governor.

Why now turning things around to accuse me of abusing Mr. Governor.It is morally wrong for the Speaker, a man that call himself a Prophet of God to engage himself in telling lies.

He is only trying to legalise the illegal acts they have committed that day. Come to think of it, why must I insult the governor and his wife? Did we ever discuss anything related to the governor on that day ?

The governor is a father to me and his wife like a mother
” Why must the Speaker lie against me ? Those that have held the office before him are men of integrity with good intellectual capacity. He should be reminded that the office of the Speaker should not be abused. You can go verify from the APC  Chairman in my local government, whose name was used in the story , he is alive to tell you all that happened on that day .

” I can see fear in them ,  I mean the Speaker and his boys , they have touched the Tiger ‘s tail and the end result will be too bad “
