Dare- Devil armed robbers on Thursday invaded two commercial banks at Ile-Oluji town in Ondo state, leaving four persons feared dead in the process.
The robberies were said to have taken place around 5 o’clock in the evening.
The identities of those that were killed by the robbers included two policemen while the remaining two victims could not be ascertained.
An eyewitness told our correspondent that No fewer than twenty of the robbers gained entry into the bank through the aid of dynamites and carted away undisclosed millions of naira at the two banks.
It was gathered that about ten other bank workers and customers were seriously injured.
The robbers acting on tip off, arrived the banks at closing time when customers were in a hurry to beat the time.
The robbers reportedly killed the two policemen in a bid to operate freely.
One of the policemen was shot on the head while the other who was met inside the police vehicle was shot in the stomach.
Confirming incident, the state Police spokesperson, Mr Femi Joseph said more policemen and soldiers had been deployed to in and around Ile-Oluji town to track down the armed robbers.
