Why Ondo Deputy Governor’s Wife shunned FOWOSO Summit

More facts have emerged on why the wife of Ondo state deputy governor, Mrs Ajewole Agboola Ajayi has not been attending public functions ,especially events organised by the governor’s wife , Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu in and outside the state.

Mrs Ajayi was obviously absent from the 2nd Summit of the Forum for Wives of Ondo State Officials plus Female Political Appointees (FOWOSO) held this week in Akure , the state capital.

It was gathered that Mrs Ajayi who was blessed with a set of twins has not been out on any government functions for the past six months.

A source told ROVING REPORTERS that Mrs Betty Akeredolu has not visited the woman to congratulate her for the new born babies because the first lady allegedly claimed that there was no official letter informing her office of Mrs Ajayi’s delivery.

It was also gathered that Mrs Ajayi has not been happy with the way she is being treated by the wife of the governor over the years ,especially since the inception of this administration in Ondo state.

According to a source ,the deputy governor’s wife felt sidelined and dumped by the wife of the governor and that was the reason she decided to stay indoors.

The source said “The woman is not happy with the whole situation. She has not been involved in any of the government activities and that alone pained her. ”

Another source informed our correspondent that the cold war between the first lady and the wife of the deputy governor was not unconnected with the hatred Mrs Akeredolu has for the deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, who was said to be loyal to Governor Akeredolu since the beginning of the admistration .

The source said, ” The obstinate first lady of Ondo does not like Agboola Ajayi and she does not hide it . If she has had her way, she would have organised the impeachment of the deputy governor. It was the hatred for Ajayi that transmitted to the wife .

” So Ajayi’s wife just uses the arrival of her twins as a good reason for her absence. The issue between them is more complicated than what the eyes can see.”
