Rugipo Governing council Chairman bags ‘Best Performing’ Awards

The South West Youth Movement,a Presidential Support Committee has honoured the Chairman Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo Governing Council, Banji Alabi Esq., with an award of Best Performing Board Chairman In the South West and also confered on him the Grand Patron of the Youth Movement.

While speaking during the award presentation which took place at the Council Chaltman’s office on Wednesday, 4th December, 2019, the Coordinator of the group in Owo, Hon. Afolabi Segun, said the group has found Banji Alabi worthy of the awards because of his virtues and track records of performance as the Governing Board Chairman of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic. Owo.

In his remarks,the leader of the group, Mr Ogunlade Temitope described the Chairman as a round peg in a round hole.

He said his appointment as the Chalrman of Rugipo Governing Council Is a good choice by the government of 0ndo State.

He also noted that his appointment has brought developmental strides to Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.

He reiterated the commitment of the South West Youth Movement to work for the re-election of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as the
Governor of Ondo State to continue his good works In all sections of the state.

While responding, Banji Alabi thanked the youth group for the honour bestowed on him saying this will further encourage him to do more.

He reiterated his commitment and plan to make Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo a silicon valley and build the economy of Ondo State round the institution.

He also exptessed his lnterest to partner with the group on lts Aketl 2020 projects and the one mllllon man march for the re-electlon of the Governor.

Chief (Mrs) Bosede Osunmaldnwa. a member of the Governing Council, thanked the group for the honour and assured them that the Chairman, with his passion for youth development would never disappoint them.

She advised them to maintain Integrity and endeavor to carry him along and seek his opinions.

The award presentation was also witnessed by the Rector, Rufus lea Polytechnlc, Owo, Mr. Gani Ogundahunsi; the Deputy Rector (Admin), Eng (Dr) Samuel Alagha and other members of the South West Youth Movement.
