Akeredolu remains Suspended from APC – Olanusi

By Adeboye Ola

A member of the APC Board of Trustees and former deputy governor , Alhaji Ali Olanusi has reconfirmed that the Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu remains suspended from the party over his anti party activities before the February general election.

Olanusi stated this in Akure on Friday while addressing members of the party.

The National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress had in March suspended the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, for anti-party activities.

The party’s NWC had on March 1 resolved to issue a query to the governor over what it described as glaring anti-party activities.

The party had said the governor’s anti-party activities greatly affected the fortunes of its candidates in the 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

Members of the party who seem confused and not clear over the status of the governor in the party asked Olanusi to reconfirm the suspension.

Olanusi said “I am confirming it here that he ( Akeredolu ) has been suspended.

The letter to that effect is with us. His reply is also with us.

So there is not doubt about his status in the party. He has been suspended.

The problem we are having is that many people have been compromised. The people that surround Ondo state are the major problems we have as a party.”
