SNAKE SCARE: Kekemeke  Blames Ondo Lawmakers For Their Misfortune

Former APC Chairman in Ondo State, Mr. Isaacs Kekemeke has blamed the leadership of the State House Of Assembly for being responsible for the deplorable condition of the Hallow Chamber.

He stated this while speaking with news men on Thursday night shortly after he hosted members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists at the Press center, Akure.

Plenary of the State House Of Assembly was on Thursday disrupted as snakes fell from the roof of the hallow chamber,making the speaker, Bamidele Oleyeloogun and other lawmakers took to their heels for safety.

Reports also indicate that the leadership of the House had allegedly misappropriated funds meant for the renovation of the Complex.

Reacting, Kekemeke who is a former lawmaker in the Ondo state house of assembly pointed accusing finger to the lawmakers for bringing misfortune on themselves as they failed to do the needful.

He said “I have had occasions to interact with a number of my colleagues,people in the house of assembly.

I was a former legislator and i was told that for the degeneration in the assembly, for the seeming disregard for the legislature, for the seeming neglect of the legislature by the executive arm of government that they complained to me about,they and they only are to be held responsible, not the executive.

Who is in charge of appropriation ? Who passes the budget ? There is no way executive can spend money if not appropriated.

If you are appropriating money for the executive and judiciary, shouldn’t you appropriate sufficiently for the legislative arm ? For your need ? So who is to be blamed ? I have always blamed them.

It is a situation of a provider lacking ,so who’s to be blamed ? Not the executives.

The executive has its projects, they go to the assembly, gets money allocated for their projects, Judiciary does the same.

So if you can not appropriate enough money for you to maintain your own branch, who do you blame ?

And if money is appropriated for your branch and you don’t spend it to maintain and create a conducive environment for you, who do you blame ?

They should blame themselves and it is a shame. ” Kekemeke said.
