Ondo to clamp down on Land Encroachers

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has warned encroachers in Ondo state against encroaching farm settlements across the state.

Akeredolu spoke at the flag-off of the 2019 plating season at Mariwo community in Ifedore local governments area of the state.

He said government will not hesitate to visit the full weight of the law on trespassers on government land.

Akeredolu also warned the people against buying of government land from any individual no matter how highly placed in the community.

He said his administration will soon begin clamp down on encrochers.

He said “I have been reliably informed that in recent time, some individuals have encroached on the Farm Settlement land across the State while some have even engaged themselves in illegal sale of portions of the land

“Let me state clearly and sound a note of warning to these encroachers that government has not abdicated the purpose for which those parcels of lands were acquired

“Therefore, we will not hesitate to visit the full weight of the law on trespassers on government land either individual or groups. “Akeredolu said.
