BREAKING: UBEC CHAIRMAN, DAUGHTER KIDNAPPED, DRIVER SHOT DEAD

The board chairman of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Muhammed Mahmood, on Monday kidnapped along the Kaduna-Abuja Highway.

Mr Mahmood was abducted alongside his daughter while travelling from Kaduna to Abuja.

But, his driver was not lucky as the kidnappers shot him dead.

According to an aide of the chairman, Hussaini Danladi, said the incident happened around Katari, a village few kilometres from Zuba.

Reacting to the incident, the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Yakubu Sabo, said the force is working on getting more details and would release a statement later on the issue.
