Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has said that he has accepted to serve the people and the country if given the opportunity to do so.
The vice president disclosed this on Monday when he visited the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, his cabinet members, legislators and party members in the state.
He said the purpose of his visit was to inform Akeredolu and his cabinet, as well as state lawmakers and APC chieftains in the state, of his desire to run for the party’s presidential ticket.
The vice president solicited the support of delegates in the state for his aspiration, disclosing that by virtue of the active roles President Muhammadu Buhari bestowed on him, he is more than ready to lead the country.
“I am still into politics, I am not ready to retire yet to my country home, it would amount to injustice and a betrayal of Nigerian if fail to serve the people”
Speaking earlier, Akeredolu stressed that the emergence of Osinbajo as the number two citizen in 2015 was divine, adding that power to enthrone a man comes only from God.
